Resumo
The objective of this research is to analyze of machining force components during the turning of a self-lubricating sintered composite, manufactured via pressing powders by two manufacturing routes. The tests were dry run on a CNC lathe using tools carbide P20 class with Ti (C, N) + Al2O3 + TiN coating. The components of the machining force were monitored through a piezoelectric platform of Kistler Instrumente. The cutting parameters varied were the cutting speed (vc = 100 and 200 m / min), feed (f = 0.1 and 0.2 mm) and cutting depth (ap = 0.5 and 1 mm). The materials tested are composites with matrix composition of Fe-Ni-C-Si containing solid lubricants, which were subjected to the pressing process and subsequent sintering. Regardless of the cutting parameters analyzed, the sintered composites produced by double pressing (DC) resulted in increases of around 15% in the machining force components, when compared to the sintered composites by single pressing (SC). The variation of the cutting parameters significantly influenced the machining force components, regardless of the manufacturing route of the materials tested.
